Welcome to Nourished AF!

The idea behind Nourished AF was born about 3 years ago; Before I was pregnant, and sure as heck before I had any idea how much work went into balancing mom life and my personal sanity. My goal was to help women improve their overall health and fitness but felt I was missing my niche. After months of struggling with hormonal imbalances hindering my ability to get pregnant – it had finally happened. I was pregnant. And so it began. I found my niche training pre and postnatal moms implementing Pilates principles and various tricks I have learned through workshops and continuing education along the way. 

Flash forward to September 2021, and here I am with a now two year old son, 8 months pregnant with baby #2 and big dreams to get this business up and off the ground. It’s funny how one idea can snowball and evolve into something else. Life has taken some twists and turns since NourishedAF was a small thought in my head, but one thing holds true – I am confident in my abilities to lead moms and moms-to-be and confident that this program sets women up for success in their pre and postnatal journey. 

What sets this program apart? Well, first of all, I’ve been there. I have been (and am) that postpartum mom who felt a bit lost after becoming a mom. I was that mom who tried reaching for something off the side of the bed only to realize I couldn’t get back up (where did my abs go?!). But I am also that mom that is here to tell you, you can do it. You can and will rebuild strength and you can and will become more confident in your abilities! This program is crafted to set you, a strong mother, up for success in either training your body during pregnancy to help with postpartum recovery OR as a postpartum mother using the building blocks to rebuild a strong foundation for your core, pelvic floor and beyond! I want to be a part of your journey and I want you to enjoy the process of getting there. 

You deserve to feel empowered in your body to move and play with your kids. You also deserve to move pain-free.

I stand behind the Pilates method for prenatal and postpartum clients. I could nerd out about it all day, but that’s for another post for another day. The holistic benefits of the method can (and DO) benefit any person. This form of exercise and my workouts are created to leave your body feeling more put together than when you began. I want you to leave feeling like you can stand a little taller, maybe feel a little more balanced, and feeling good about what you just accomplished. Beyond this, the workouts are designed to strengthen your body from the deepest layers out. There is a method to the madness! I want you to feel like your time here at NourishedAF is well spent and centered around YOU. I know I am a happier mom when I get a little workout in, and I think there is truly something to be said about doing a workout that will give you strength for everyday life as a result.
